Window sand

I work at a Veterans Hospital and am setting up a window display offering health services. I plan to put a humvee on top of some sand as part of the display. Is this scene offensive to OEF/OIF veterans?

there is sand stuck inside my door where the window rolls up and down, and when i roll them down, it sounds like my window is being scratched all over. how do i fix this?

take out the door interior and and hoover and clean out its easy

The frame is a rescue from junk pile and it's got good bones for a home project.

If you want I would leave it like it is, it gives it character. I have a six pane, but I, like you was determined to sand it off. There is a stripper solution you can buy, but the fumes are too strong to breathe. I just spent a lot of hours using little blocks of wood(various sizes) with sandpaper tacked on them. I just sanded the grooves with these little blocks, and used an electric sander for the upper flat surface.
